The Characteristics of Presidential Awardees: how do they compare with
science and mathematics teachers nationally?
Iris R. Weiss, Jacqueline B. Raphael
1996
During the 1993 National Survey of Science and Mathematics
Education, a questionnaire was administered to all who received the Presidential
Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching since the program's
inception in 1983. The report compares the population of Awardees to the
national sample of teachers on each of the issues addressed by the 1993
National Survey.
